In contrast to the elegance of the era, the Victorians knew how to through a party! Consequently, the evening wedding entertainment can be as wild and as decadent as you wish, the lavish decor giving way to a great party atmosphere. The carpets are quite literally rolled back to reveal a dance floor, the lights are dimmed, the tables rearranged, the disco, ceilidh or floor shows are brought in and a good time is guaranteed by all. Every wedding party leaves echoing the same sentiments, there is just a special ambience about this beautiful Scottish house that brings out the very best in everyone.

Live Music

We can mix and match musical styles and have a rota of very flexible live outfits that can provide differing styles of music to suit the mix of tastes found during a family wedding. We can also book bands with dedicated styles from folk to rock. Undoubtably a professional live band can make the wedding special by adding personalised touches suited to the happy couple and their guests. Classical music styles have now made an enormous comeback providing background music throughout the “daytime reception” followed by a lively band of your choice or disco in the evening.

Disco

Many couples prefer discos as they can provide every musical taste from late fifties to rap. All the great dance tunes guaranteed to get everyone out of their chairs can be played. A disco can also be tailored to the crowd as guests depart for bed leaving the heavy rock to those still standing! The best disco outfits also have the best light shows and we can book those that we think will suit your style of wedding.

Ceilidh

A Scottish wedding is always enhanced by a lively ceildh. A great tradition that goes back many years many would not see a wedding complete without one because nothing brings the party together better than a “dashing white sergeant” or a “strip the willow.” A great ceildh band with a compere to explain the steps of the lesser known reels brings fun to the occasion and soon everyone, young and old are up and dancing.

Buffet

For your evening guests, a delicious buffet, suited to their tastes can be provided. An excellent variety of flavours and styles to include tasty bite-size delicacies, to more substantial "pick and choose" savouries are available.

Kids Entertainment

Kids at a wedding have differing needs to adults and by catering for them, they have a great time, as does everyone else. We can provide a conprehensive list of entertainments for kids that will keep them safely occupied. The Moorpark House  is also the perfect location for a family wedding because of the diverse sizes and styles of the rooms. The hotel has safe gardens for children to explore and can include a bouncy castle and magicians. We have provided marquees for many successful weddings that require the extra space and unlike many wedding venues we can erect a marquee directly alongside the hotel, on perfectly level ground. We can also provide covered access from the side of the hotel directly into the marquee.
