The unique Scottish setting, the fabulous, classical, historical building, the 4 star exclusivity and the convenient location close to two UK and international airports and the M6/ M8/ M80 connections has made us a highly popular location for couples from all of Scotland, the UK and Europe. In fact, we average a wedding a week from the most distant localities because there is quite possibly no other exclusive, 4 star wedding venue that has two international airports and motorway connections within a 20 minute drive!
However, regardless of whether you live just a few miles from the Moorpark House or fly in by private jet or helicopter, all enjoy the the same luxurious, exclusivity and 4 star amenities. So what is the combination that makes us a successful wedding venue within Ayrshire, Scotland, the UK and Europe?

Firstly, every wedding party has exclusive use of the hotel from the beginning to the end of their day. To say that this is appreciated by all who have had their weddings here is an understatement and time and again it is remarked on by wedding couples and guests alike. In particular the superb juxtaposition of the bedrooms, religous ceremony and reception rooms helps ensure all goes perfectly as planned regardless of weather or time of year.
Secondly, Moorpark House is privately owned and managed and takes pride in offering the highest levels of old world personal service not normally asscoiated to modern chain hotels. Consequently it is Visit Scotland 4 star rated not least because it is 1860s built country house of great quality which 4 years ago was the subject of a multi million pound program of supremely tasteful refurbishment, extensions, decorations and furnishing. Therefore, it feels fresh and new unlike many other old country houses in Scotland or elsewhere in the UK.
Superbly run by owner Graham Conrathe who is also the Manager and Master of Ceremonies and Jackie Dunbar the simply brilliant wedding coordinator, it has a short space of time become, according to the Registrars from North Ayrshire Council who attend here to officiate at ceremonies, the busiest wedding venue in Ayrshire. It is also a safe environment for children being set in 10 acres of private grounds in a country cul-de-sac away from main roads.
We have ensuite accommodation of 12 rooms and the 4 star Menzies Hotel (with 128 rooms) charges our wedding guests a maximum of £75 per double room. It is approximately half an hour's drive from the Moorpark House and 10 minutes away from Glasgow Prestwick airport and we are able to organise transport to and from Menzies at a small expense.
Amongst Ayrshire wedding venues, any castle wedding venue or any wedding venue in Scotland we are central to the main airports, rail and road links. Yet we are set in idyllic, landscaped gardens and mature trees in a quiet Ayrshire country lane leading to the moors - far enough from the pollution and noise of wedding venues in Glasgow, yet only 30 minutes drive from the centre of Glasgow.
