"a warm welcome and attentive service"
...Jackie was friendly and attentive at all times, and the bar stayed open with us long after the music ended! Really terrific open fires kept stoked all night, opulent upholstery, decadent dark wood and ornate ceilings add to the atmosphere. Best aspect was the service from day, evening and breakfast staff who allowed guests to loiter long after check-out time, which was much appreciated. Would recommend it for any large or small event as very flexible space, and substantial grounds with pavilion, ideal for photos if you can brave the cold as we did! Many thanks to Jackie and all the staff - husband and wife are now happy, relaxed, and enjoying a week in Switzerland while rest of us nurse our hangovers!

"Our Hogmanay Wedding 2011"
...my future Hubby loved the venue, the ambience and grandeur. Everything we questioned and wanted was "No problem" from Jackie.

Our wedding day was gorgeous. Every room was warm, comfortable and such a relaxed atmosphere. Even the bride was relaxed. The staff at Moorpark were so friendly and helpful. Jackie was always there ensuring everything went to plan and on time. Our food and drink package was to me excellent value for money although I did forget about childrens soft drinks for the meal. We were allowed to have a fireworks display for midnight again ''No problem'' from Jackie and one of her staff went to assist our friend who was in charge..the party ended and the guests staying over relaxed in the comfy room where our friend brought out his guitar and we all had a sing a long. At no point were we made to feel "The party's over - get to your room" attitude. The next morning the staff were on duty again, friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was served and again service was excellent. If I had one tiny complaint it would be that I did not take full advantage of the wedding suite, as the room is stunning, jacuzzi, dressing room etc...although I do have plenty pics. Once again thanks to Jackie and her staff for "our amazing Hogmanay Wedding"

"Fantastic!"
I could not fault the venue or staff in any way at all. We stumbled across this wedding venue by accident and from the moment we saw it we fell in love with it. The house and garden are excellent no matter what time of year you visit and as we were getting married in November, it was perfect as there are so many places to take photographs no matter what the weather. I could not fault anything at all on the run up to or on the day of the wedding, any questions we had were all answered very quickly either by email or telephone. Jackie and Graeme were both excellent and made the day run so smooth and seamless, all of the other staff were all very helpful the entire time and not just to us but every single guest no matter what the request. The food was outstanding and served very quickly to all our guests, all of the drinks at the bar were all reasonably priced. All of our guests have had nothing bad to say at all about the staff, service and the venue. Many of our friends and family stayed over at the hotel with us and every single one of the bedrooms was different and all finished to a very high standard and as for the honeymoon suite it was huge, we could have had another party with our guests, we would highly recommend Moorpark to anyone. "Very impressed"
My husband and I flew over to Scotland to get married at the Moorpark House in Kilbirnie on July 6th, 2011 and couldn't have asked for a better day. With not being able to see the hotel until 3 days before the wedding, we were blown away when we got our first glimpse of how beautiful the place was. We enjoyed every part - from getting ready in the amazing honeymoon suite, the perfect room for the ceremony, and the amazing food. All of our pictures turned out gorgeous, with the amazing background. Jackie, the wedding coordinator, made the whole process very simple, especially given the fact that we were planning from thousands of miles away. She met with us 3 days before and went over every single detail of the day, and to reassure us that everything would run smoothly. I would highly recommend the Moorpark for any future couple that is considering this the place to start their lives together. Thank you Jackie and Graham! -

"A perfect wedding"
We got married here on 3rd July 2011 and cannot stress how wonderful this place is. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it 2 years earlier. We had seen loads of other wedding venues but we weren't impressed. But, as soon as we drove up the drive at Moorpark, we knew it was going to be gorgeous. When we spoke to Graham we could not believe how reasonably priced it was compared to the other wedding venues. A hidden gem, we thought. Its the perfect set up for all kinds of weather. Our wedding day was glorious so our guests all got to sit out and enjoy the sunshine out on the lawn but everyone also commented on how beautiful the interior was. The food was good and everyone said what a wonderful day they had. Jackie was wonderful throughout the planning of the wedding. She was very honest and would go out of her way to help. In fact all the staff were great and couldn't do enough to please us. We had stayed a couple of months before our wedding and were given the exact same service. We can't find anything bad to say about the hotel, its absolutely stunning. The honeymoon suite is out of this world. Definitely consider it if you are getting married, you'll have a perfect wedding. -

"We loved every minute of our stay - highly recommended"
We got married in Moorpark house hotel on 11.08.11. As I'm from a big family having exclusive use was important to us to allow for kids to run about freely. From the time we booked in 2010, until the day after the wedding the support and contact from Jackie, the wedding co-ordinator, was fantastic. She maintained a calm composure throughout the day (even when things got wild on the dance floor!) which helped prevent me from turning into a "bridezilla". Despite the weather the venue is so picturesque that the photo opportunities could be found in every room. With Graham the toast master provided, there was no worries about the running of our special day. Everything ran smoothly but without it being too obvious that there were even staff there at all. Everyone commented on the great choice of venue for a wedding. The rooms were large and comfortable and the food was delicious. We were late to get up and so had missed breakfast time, but Jackie made sure there was a full Scottish left for us, and we didnt feel under pressure to check out the next day. I could not fault this venue at all...

they even provided flags on the flag poles to represent the three countries involved in the wedding. We would highly recommend the Moorpark House Hotel. Thanks again for everything Jackie and Graham.

"Top class wedding venue - no word of a lie!!!"
We chose Moorpark House for our wedding, which was held on the 26th May. I know they say it's the best day of your life, that's an understatement! To be fair, it wouldn't be the best day if you didn't have the best people on hand to make sure it ran smoothly! Thanks to Jackie and Graeme for ALL their help. A party of 12 including myself stayed the night before the wedding and we were made to feel so relaxed and welcome from the offset - no fussing, no hassle just up to us to decide what we wanted to do.We went for a lovely meal at the Blair Hotel a few miles away - delicious food, intimate and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast on the morning of the wedding at Moorpark was great, again it was very relaxed... and so was I! Surprisingly!
continues >>> We had a bit of a mishap with my wedding shoes on the day and Jackie kindly offered to nip across town to get me a pair! You don't get that sort of service and fuss everywhere. All was not lost and Royal Mail showed up 2 1/2 hours late... better late than never and I walked proudly down the aisle in my over priced but beautiful shoes.
I should mention, on the run up to the wedding I warned Jackie I'd be calling every day to fire off some questions - I kept my word and pretty much every day for 1 week I was on the phone quizzing and quite frankly freaking out!!! Everytime I called Jackie was on hand to put my mind at ease and even if I was harassing her she didn't let on once... With Jackie's workaholic attitude and efficiency and Graeme's "bleathering" personality coupled with his MC skills they make a great team.
continues >>>At Moorpark House, all the suites are beautifully decorated and spacious, very clean and the honeymoon suite will take your breath away. The hotel felt like a home away from home and I'm sure we will be visiting next February if you host the Valentines stay-over again... Food was great, waiters were smartly dressed and very friendly - a great day was had by all!
I do hope you find this review helpful, I have been nothing but honest... If you want a lovely relaxed, beautiful and timeless setting with great photo opportunities, 2 people on hand to attend to your every whim and not have a run of the mill "1 in 1 out" hotel wedding then please consider Moorpark - I couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks to everyone involved :)
