Thanks for making our wedding go so smoothly and for giving us such a fantastic day! First we would like to say thank you to all the people we really didn't get to speak to on the day who gave us such wonderful food, service and just generally made sure that everything happened as it should. Secondly huge thanks to Graham for keeping everything flowing so well without ever having been obtrusive. Finally and most importantly massive masive thanks to Jackie. You were there with us from the start to finish and we truly appreciate all your help and advice from our first visit to Moorpark House to our wedding day. We don't believe there could be a better place for us to have had our wedding. The combination of location and organisation could not have been bettered anywhere. We felt well cared for and comfortable all through the day (although this may not have been reflected in the Groom's face prior to the actual marriage!). All of our guests have commented on the stunning setting, the quality of the food and just how much they enjoyed the day.

This is a belated review of a wedding that was held in August 2009.
Moorpark House is a stunning venue for a wedding, it has a "Scottish Country House" appeal, the public rooms inside are stunning. From the front morning room, where you can hold the ceremony - or in our case where we had our photos taken as it was such a bad day - which has a fabulous arch full lenght mirror, wooden panneling, classic fire place...to the Gold Room resplendent with a stunning ceiling, staircase with beautiful large stain glass window, conservatory and reception room. All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the bridal suite is WOW ... Bedroom with fourposter bed, off that a separate sitting room, then large dressing room which moves into a huge bathroom. A table was set up in the bridal suite so that breakfast could be private and intimate.
What appealed to us when deciding on the venue was that it offered so much in the way of space and gave us the opportunity to have the venue to ourselves. Where else could you find this at the prices quoted.
We found that all our requests or concerns at anytime during the planning of the wedding were listened to and met by management... time and time again when talking with Jackie she would say - "this is your day and we will do it the way you want, just ask". At all times I could speak with them and often visited in the evening during the planning and always Jackie made herself available. If you have concerns regarding any previous reviews my advice would be to go and visit Moorpark, speak with Jackie and see the venue for yourself ... it is stunning!

Myself and my new wife arranged our wedding here at Moorpark House at the start of October 2009. Ayrshire is not short of spectacular venues to have your wedding and to be honest we were really struggling to pick .... there's always the fine selection of Bill Costley's hotels to choose from (Brigadoon/Highgrove etc) but we were looking for something or rather somewhere that we had not been before.
To be honest we stumbled across MPH after numerous internet searches after we had decided on having the day somewhere else ... but a last minute decision to have a drive up to the hotel one sunny afternoon proved to be the thing that changed our minds.
As soon as we drove into the impressive grounds we knew that this was the place for us, this continued to be the case as we were shown around the classically designed inside of the building and finally shown the bridal suite which is nothing short of spectacular.
Many of the original features are maintained in the hotel and it really feels full of character and history which you simply can't get from a hotel that has had a clever interior designer go in and try to obtain a classical Scottish look.
The staff were friendly and supportive throughout the planning process - don't get me wrong there were some minor hiccups - but they were put right quickly before the actual event and the day itself was seamless.
Would we have our wedding at MPH over again? YES.. will we go back in the future.... YES ... enough said really.

Thank you Moorpark for a most enjoyable and well organised day for our daughter's wedding on the coldest 29th December.
The venue was perfect from the decoreated stairway, the wood pannelled Gold Room lit by the firelight to the carefully prepared dining room all set the scene for a wonderful wedding.
The service the staff proveded was managed skilfully on the day and special mention must be given to Jackie for her help in planning the event.
The family and guests of all ages enjoyed the warm, relaxing atmosphere which the exclusive use afforded.
The food was particularly top quality, well presented and served efficiently to nearly 100. I would definitely recommend Moorpark as a wonderful wedding venue.
