The hotel has two fabulous rooms licensed as venues for religious, civil or humanist ceremonies. For religious and civil ceremonies the specific areas licensed are the Marble Room (maximum capacity 80), the Knox Room (maximum capacity 150) the front outside terrace area and the garden on the West flank of the building. Humanist ceremonies are not restricted by license considerations and may take place anywhere within the building or its grounds.
The Marble Room is arguably one of the most perfect locations for any wedding venue in which to hold your religious, civil humanist or Celtic wedding ceremony. The soft natural lighting from its splendid bay windows mirrors the calm serenity of the marble pillars, ornate ceilings and fine wood carving to enhance the solemnity of this important and most sincere occasion. As a location for a Scottish wedding ceremony it is in a class of its own and will put heartfelt meaning to your mutual vows. Although no religious content whatsoever is allowed in a civil ceremony it can be more romantic and leisurely than in a registrar's office and it can be as formal or casual as you would wish. All ministers of whatever faith are happy to perform ceremonies at licensed venues.
The elegance and stylish sophistication of Moorpark House makes the perfect backdrop for those seeking a religious wedding in timeless surroundings whilst adding suitable solemnity to the most important day in the lives of a couple committing to a religious ceremony. The beautiful hotel and grounds provide a tranquil setting in which to celebrate their commitment to one another, taking their vows before the minister of their particular faith and confirming their religious beliefs through the sanctity of marriage.
A Humanist wedding is "dignified, caring and totally personal". A Humanist wedding can take place anywhere "safe and dignified" and consequently Moorpark House is an ideal venue. However the ceremony must be conducted by a Celebrant of the Humanist Society of Scotland who has been authorised by the Registrar General for Scotland.
Approximately 85% of all wedding receptions held at Moorpark House are where the couple have also married at the hotel. Many come for their initial show round having made a preliminary decision to have the ceremony elsewhere – perhaps at a local church – but invariably they are swayed by practicalities and the ambience of the hotel.
The Ceremony Room at the Moorpark House is unique amongst Ayrshire wedding venues or any castle wedding venue. Not least for the bride to be able to prepare in the honeymoon suite within the hotel and then to the ceremony room looking her absolute best without being affected by bad weather, is a blessing beyond compare. Also both the Marble Room and the Knox Room make the Moorpark House a supreme Scottish wedding venue because of its absolutely stunning photographic locations - even being used for fashion shoots. So even the worst weather outside won't dampen yours or the photographer's spirits.
If you have your reception and your ceremony at The Moorpark House there is a £100 reduction to only £250.
The hotel can also host just your ceremony for only £350 and included in the price is full access to the grounds and the buildings for beautiful wedding photography.
